Group awarded Telstra Kids Fund grant |
|
In the News

Our group was recently awarded a Telstra Kids Fund grant for $1200.
Paige Mason, from the local Sunbury Leader newspaper, spoke to our Group leader Charlie Porteous who said the money would be used for tents and shelter.
"We've got a number of camps through the year but the Scouts have their biggest camp of all next January. So primarily all the new equipment will be for that camp".
Since 2002, Telstra's Kids Fund has helped 6273 projects at a total of $7.4 million. |

Australian Jamboree 2013 |
|
1-14th January 2013
Maryborough, Fraser Coast, QLD
Jamborees are massive camps of over 10000 Scouts held regularly around the world. Â Australian Jamborees are held every three years in Australia in a different State each time.
A support crew of over 3000 Adults, leaders, Rovers and Venturers volunteer their time and holidays to make our Jamborees possible and to keep the costs down.
Scouts live for 10 days in tents, cook their own food, participate in amazing activities and look after themselves with the support of their Patrol Leader and the Adult Leaders.
The activities are fabulous and if done privately would be much more expensive!
